If you’re unsure where to start in the wide world of manga Komi Can’t Communicate is a great manga to test the waters with. It’s a casual school based romantic comedy about a quiet boy called Tadano who has just transferred schools when he meets one of his classmates Komi, whom he realises isn’t the cool, silent beauty the rest of the school views her as. She’s just a regular high school girl who has suffered from crippling social anxiety her whole life. Realising this Tadano reaches out, and Komi is extremely excited that someone finally understands her and he vows to help her in her quest to make 100 friends.
