Meliodas runs a simple travelling tavern with his companion Hawk, who is a talking pig. When one day after hearing rumours of a haunted rusted knight roaming the lands, that very knight walks into the bar and scares off all his customers then promptly passes out. Little does he know that this knight is in fact the third princess of the kingdom, Elizabeth. She’s on the run and looking for the legendary Seven Deadly Sins, powerful knights who were exiled years earlier, to help her save the kingdom from the Holy knights who have staged a coup d’état and locked away her family. But when those very knights catch up to her and attack, Meliodas jumps into action to save Elizabeth, inadvertently unveiling his secret in the battle, he is one of the exiled sins, Meliodas the Dragons sin of Wrath and he promises her that he’ll help find the other sins and take back the kingdom from the Holy Knights.
